Keto Champorado (Chocolate Chia Seeds Pudding)

Champorado was my very favorite food when I was growing up in the Philippines.
I am so happy I am able to make a keto version of it because I really missed it.
You can serve this warm or cold.

Keto Champorado (Chocolate Chia Seeds Pudding)

Keto Champorado (Chocolate Chia Seeds Pudding)


  • 3 TBSP Chia seeds
  • 1 & 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 Unsweetened Almond milk
  • 2 TBSP keto sweetener (add more if you want it sweeter)
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream OR coconut milk
  • 2 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder (OR 3 tableya if you have it)


  • Boil 1 & 1/2 cup water, 3 TBSP Chia seeds and 2 TBSP keto sweetener for 7 minutes over medium-high. Stir frequently.
  • Add 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk and cook for another 5 minutes over medium-high heat. Stir frequently.
  • Mix 2 TBSP cocoa powder and 1/4 heavy whipping cream OR 1/4 cup canned coconut milk. Mix until dissolved. Pour it to the pan and mix well. Cook for another 3 minutes over medium-high heat.
  • Remove from heat. Serve warm or cold. Enjoy!
